Manchester City to table £20m bid?

It’s already been a busy summer for Manchester City in the transfer market as new manager Manuel Pellegrini looks to make his mark on the side he inherited from Roberto Mancini and today MirrorFootball indicates that Real Madrid defender Pepe could be the next player to arrive at the Etihad Stadium this summer.
The fiery defender could leave the Bernabeu and a possible reunion with former Madrid manager Pellegrini may be on the cards as the Chilean boss looks to find a suitable partner for captain Vincent Kompany.
The 30-year-old Portuguese international has created a controversial but no-nonsense approach to life in Spain and he could certainly make things interesting for the rest of the Premier League next season.
Madrid president Florentino Perez recently made clear that the centre back wouldn’t leave the club without a fight noting: “Pepe is not for sale and will not move this summer – at least that’s my opinion.”
But with City readying a bid of around £20 million, he could yet let his star defender depart this summer.

Should City move for the highly controversial Real Madrid man?
